Description
The Specific Gravity Frame is a purpose-built robust frame designed to support an electronic balance and allow for easy measurements in both air and water.
The frame is used with a suitable electronic balance with an under-weighing facility for the specific gravity determination of compacted asphalt specimens, hardened concrete and aggregates. It is ideal for soil particle density testing and rock correction work.
Incorporating a load brake winch, the lower part of the frame has a moving platform for raising and lowering of the water container, allowing the test specimens to be weighted in both air and water.
The frame should be completed with a suitable cradle to hold concrete specimens, or with a basket for use with asphalt specimens, rocks and aggregates.
The frame is supplied complete with plastic water container.
