Asphalt Rolling Thin Film Oven (RTFO)

The Rolling Thin Film Ovens (RTFO) are used to simulate the short-term ageing of asphalt binders.

Description

Rolling Thin Film Ovens are used to measure the effect of heat and air on a moving film of semi-solid bituminous materials and is an indicator of the approximate change in properties during conventional hot-mixing.

The TBT Rolling Thin Film Oven is manufactured to comply with test standards ASTM D2872 and EN 12607-1 and provides automatic control of the test process including timing, temperature control and alarm monitoring for the test process.

It features a large 7 inch touch screen with real-time display of temperature-time and flow-time curves during operation.

The oven accurately maintains the specified test temperature of ±0.5°C at163°C.

An internal printer prints test data at the completion of the test and the data can be exported in Excel format via USB drive.
