Dial Penetrometers

The Dial Penetrometers are designed for making field classification of cohesive soils in terms of consistency and shear strength.

Description

Dial Penetrometers are used by geotechnical engineers, geologists, agronomists, etc., to quickly and easily obtain an approximate measure of the shear strength and correlation of unconfined compressive strengths, angle of internal friction in sandy soils, and cohesion in clay soils

Three versions available: 16-T0160 and 16-T0162 for soft soil and medium/hard soil; 16-T0161 complete with 5 different plungers used to evaluate the angle of internal friction of sandy soil and the cohesion in clay soils.  They all include a peak hold feature with zero setting by push button
