Description
Geo-Con’s new Round Determinate Panel (RDP) Test Mould is designed for preparing test samples in accordance with ASTM C1550.
The Round Determinate Panel (RDP) test is performed to determine the flexural toughness of fibre-reinforced concrete (FRC) and shotcrete using a round panel supported on three symmetrically arranged pivots and subjected to a central point load.
The round panel samples are prepared by casting the fresh fibre reinforced concrete or spraying the shotcrete into the moulds, and screeding to level. The mould rings are 800mm diameter and 75mm height.
Geo-Con’s RDP moulds are plated steel construction, designed to prevent any distortion and to maintain the panel diameter within specification. They are easily stackable and feature forklift tine channels which aid in handling and the demoulding process. The forklift tines can be tilted forward to assist with demoulding once the ring bolts are undone.
The sloped sides assist with manual handling as well as help prevent the cast panel from slipping off sideways during demoulding.
The mould ring comprises 2 pieces for ease of demoulding.
